There is also an extra-curricular activity programme which extends the breadth of opportunities both academically and practically. We are extremely proud that our current students achieved 1st and 2nd position in the Muscat Inter-school Robotics Competition, 2023!

The Key Stage 3 curriculum will build on the experiences students have gained at Primary school. We aim to transfer the skills and attributes from the primary phase and introduce teaching by subject specialists. In particular, we aim to develop independent learners who can think creatively and critically. This will allow them to lead confident lives, flourish in their respective professions and make a positive contribution to society. Furthermore, we believe in the importance of the holistic development of the child whereby students are given the opportunity to develop good morals and conduct. To this end, we will facilitate an environment for your child that is fully conducive to Islamic ethos and values.

The Key Stage 4 curriculum will build on the experiences students have gained at Key Stage 3. We aim to consolidate and enhance the skills and attributes from the lower secondary phase and introduce IGCSE content. Students are successful in their studies when they enjoy their learning and have fun too. In Key Stage 3 and 4, therefore, students will be taught through highly interactive and practical lessons. They will be able to consolidate their learning by working on educational platforms such as Literacy Planet, MathsWatch and ActiveLearn. All lesson resources are also regularly uploaded on the Google Classroom Portal. This will allow students to access resources digitally, outside of school hours.

We use baseline tests to determine the levels and prior knowledge of students. This data is then used to support teachers in their planning, thereby allowing them to differentiate lesson activities to support the needs of every student. Additionally, we measure students’ attainment and progress through a combination of project tasks, quizzes, practical activities and end of unit assessments.
